Welcome to Kala Trobe's website,
which includes the latest on my books, a bibliography,
news, a variety of sections that (still) need to be
updated, and a rather useful moon calendar. There is
regularly updated astrological information and forecasting
with MoonCat, button to the right. Oh, and some photos,
mostly of cemeteries and Tibet :)

Kala Trobe is the main nom-de-plume
of Kate La Trobe-Bateman. She is author
of six books on mythology and modern mystical
practise, and two books of short-stories
on related subjects.

Kala's latest publication
is: Magick
in the West End, a collection of esoteric short-stories,
the follow-up to The Magick Bookshop.
| The
Magick Bookshop features the
antiquarian bookshop in Oxford where Kala
worked for several years. It stars the wily
Mr Malynowsky, esotericist extraordinaire
and vendor of ancient tomes. Occult-related
adventures - all based on real occurrences
- naturally abound in such an environment.
Kala looks at Magick as it is played out
in everyday - but never ordinary - life.
There are real occult techniques and much
information on Qabalah contained within
this set of inter-related short-stories.
