March 3, 2008 Monday Evening Today is the day that I refer to as the REAL Christmas Day! You see, the Historical figure who Christ was ushered in the Age of Pisces, and was quite Piscean in nature as well (not Capricorn like at all!, although usurping the December 25th date was a good way for the Emerging Christian Sect to overtake the Pagan MidWinter Yule Festival Holidays and Celebrations) . Also, as I recall, the Number THREE or the concept of the TRINITY is indeed of VAST IMPORTANCE to Life of The Christ, so what better day to celebrate than the THIRD day of the THIRD month, of a figure whose education began in the THIRD year of life and whose very life ended at the age of Thirty-THREE! You see where I am going here….. So, Merry Christmas everyone! Greetings ALL! …and a Hardy WELCOME as well to the newcomers to the AstroMissive list from both Florida and elsewhere around the globe. It’s MoonCat, your Traveling Astrologer! I have had a wonderful time exploring Florida during this month, however, indeed, my time here is soon drawing to its conclusion. I will be departing the Jacksonville area this coming Friday. Passing through Sanford for one more presentation/ class and Readings for the weekend, then off to Lakeland for one more friendly stop before I hightail it back to Texas to arrive in time for my fathers birthday on March 15th. This will be the 4th year in a row I will have seen him directly on his birthday, not an easy feat considering that I live ½ the distance of the United States away! Life is funny that way. Spending time as well with the Atlantic Ocean has been MAGICAL! I feel I have a special bond considering that I was a member of the Atlantis Art Colloquium at The Atlantic Hotel in downtown MisSOULa , MonTana for a decade! Nice to dip my feet into both worlds. Astrologically speaking, prepare yourself for some FAMILY TIME! Just before the SUN rises tomorrow, the planet Mars will enter the sign of Cancer where it will remain until Mid May! Did you enjoy the Sagittarius Last Hurrah today? The ‘Fun and Games’ are soon to move on to ‘Get the Work Done’! Indeed, I often refer to Sagittarian periods as the ‘Research and Development’ phase. That is, a time when you try this, try that, go here, go there, check it all out, and don’t forget to double over laughing while you are at it! Then communicate with others who are doing the same only different and cross reference experiences with each other, to educate the mind and soul about a philosophical array of ALL OF IT! What today held was Jupiter, the planet of Sagittarius in the Sign of Sagittarius, crossing the face of the Planet Pluto, also in Sagittarius…. So a Great Opportunity towards Deep Profound Transformation was on this days agenda. Transformation involving our beliefs and our ability to jump on the Adventure Train and chase after those beliefs! This conjoining of planets was in the final degree and a half of the sign, which means, CHANGE is COMIN! However, allow me to backtrack a bit first. For the past 3 days, we have been under the influence of the New Moon in Sagittarius, thus this moon cycle is about more of the same! Spontaneity, Fun and the Pursuit of Knowledge thru or via Experience! Curiosity about the extended world around us beyond our immediate borders. For the past 20 days, the SUN has been in Sagittarius, allowing motion and movement into our pursuits. Finally, for the past YEAR Jupiter has been in it’s native sign, opening doors again in the direction of our freshly inspired interests. Enjoy the Archer shooting the arrow into the future then chasing after it, as soon, we move from the half man half horse imagery to that of the Mountain Goat in the span of a four day sweep! It begins with the movement of Jupiter itself. On December 18th, Jupiter enters the sign of Capricorn. It is time to take all of the knowledge and information that we all gathered over the past year of our Sagittarian experience and compile it into something organized, goal centered and structured. Jupiter brings opportunity, indulgence and expansion in the form of whatever sign it is in! Soon our opportunities go in the direction of setting goals, of climbing the mountain, double checking that each step of the way is organized and secure. It’s time to WORK! Sagittarius is all jokes, laughter and cliff diving but now we move into the Capricorn phase which is much more SERIOUS and RESERVED. Capricorn has a plan, maps out a course, sets an agenda, follows the proper order or procedure then puts the pieces into place to get it done! Time to set that goal then CLIMB that Mountain towards the vista point! No problem, we can do it… the athleticism of SAGITTARIUS built our stamina and muscles to be able to handle the next turn of the wheel, the Strength needed to be able to push our stones up the mountain in true Sisyphus form. This is phase # 1. The very next day, December 19th, brings the Retrograde turn of SATURN, the planet ruled by Capricorn. Retrograde motion implies both an INWARD focus and a GO BACK focus. Saturn, has to do with our Talents, our JOBS, our Life’s Self Definition, our Strengths and what we have struggled to realize is our strongest self assets. Sometimes it is what we are BEST at that we are the most SHY to let go of! Oh the irony of life! Saturn will be retrograde until early May, thus the work that you accomplish may very well be behind the scenes or out of the public eye as it were…. It is about YOU building your strength and getting ready for the emergence of your work to be revealed when the forward motion comes back. Again however, this isn’t all. The next day after that, on December 20th, the planet Mercury as well moves into the sign of Capricorn. Mercury is the communicator, how we use our minds and then speak our minds. Capricorn likes to keep it real. It is NOT going to embellish our words all flowery and exotic, nope! Capricorn means what it says and says what it means and will not waste it’s breath otherwise! Keep it simple, keep it basic. Find structure in what you think and say. Then make a list, plan a course of action…. A Capricorn Favorite thing! Finally, here is the climax, on December 21, the SUN itself moves into the sign of Capricorn, which not only is the SOLSTICE, the longest night and shortest day, but indeed, it is another turning of the season, the first day of winter. Capricorn energy is about Structure and form, within our bodies, it represents the building blocks that hold us upright, our spine. Capricorn is a road map, steps that can be checked off. It is ‘The System’ as well as ‘The Man’. The Corporate structure or paradigm is of the Capricorn model. It is traditional, it follows the rules, it seeks out experience and credential. It is also about STRIVING. Starting at one place then giving it your all to get to another place. Life is SERIOUS. Get to WORK. Climb the Ladder. Sometimes we have to do our chores before we can go out to play…. Only with the zodiac, it goes in the other direction. We have just had plenty of play with our Sagittarius time, now it is time to turn that play into something Professional. Make that play WORK for you! Turn it into a money making venture. Capricorn is about Achieving Success! …and the paycheck that comes with that success. Capricorn requires security, so it stops fooling around as it were and gets it’s ducks in a row! [American turns of phrase…] Hup Hup Hup!!! All this Capricorn energy NOW is getting us ready for 2008 when we prepare for a larger paradigm shift. Pluto is soon to go into Capricorn too, causing BREAKDOWN and CHANGE making the way for the REBIRTH of the best qualities of Capricorn. Capricorn is about Efficient Leadership, in order to be efficient, you have to get the CRAP out of the way…. Get rid of Dirty Business and bring back INTEGRITY! I will write another AstroMissive on this alone, but just to dangle a carrot, Pluto moves into Capricorn from January – June, then retrogrades back into Sagittarius for a final throw, then back into Capricorn 3 weeks AFTER our next American Political elections. Hmmmmm….. sounds like another voting fiasco to me! Pluto will remain in this sign until 2024. I know I’m ready…. I have TONS of WORK to do! Capricorn is our “Officey Stuff”, organizing our plans. At the moment, I am still living out this greater Sagittarius period, of course, my Soul Purpose IS Sagittarius! I just passed GO on another trip around the SUN myself! I have been on constant TRAVEL circuit since the fall of 2001 when I left for England for the first time. [Well, actually, it is a Uranian cycle that is keeping me and my home MOVING AROUND, but then again to MOVE AROUND is my nature!] At this moment, I find myself in Dallas , Texas . The weather channel tells me that there is crazy pre-winter weather all over the country, so I am glad to be this far south, mostly out of the snow belt. I was going to brag about being in 70 degree temps, however that cold front came thru here too, and dropped the temps to below freezing. Brrr!!! But it passed. Today there was a deluge rain storm, and when I opened the door to see the rain directly, I was surprised that the temp had broke and it actually felt HOT out! Almost jungle-y! The Cold was yesterday and the day before….. I’ll be in Dallas until the end of the week, then I am planning on moving on down the road to Austin for a few weeks. Then….then…then… .??? Tucson ? Florida ? Back to MonTana ? I don’t know yet…. I’m making up this journey as I move along! I just follow my intuition around and see where it takes me! November 18, 2007 Sunday eve…. Greetings ALL! Welcome to the American Season of THANKFULNESS! Indeed, a FINE QUALITY to observe EVERY DAY of the YEAR really….! Sure enough, I am THANKFUL for ALL of YOU reading this even now! Thank you all for spreading the AstroWords and steering your friends in this direction as well. Remember how I told you all that after a retrograde cycle, the vibes of that planet are still under the influence of the backdance until it crosses over where it once was and breaks new ground… well, indeed, TODAY is that day… Mercury, famed for its affect on our communications has now reached that point! Thank you for bearing with me thru All MY Changes! The quick rundown is the end of September brought another road trip to a Seattle Housesit, then off to 4 stops in Oregon , then a quick dip to the Redwoods, then car problems in northern California (Oooh Mercury!) right in the driveway of friends! New Battery in my Phone AND Car! Alternator too! How do you like that! Of course, now we stand here in the fold….. Mercury turns today in just a few hours 3:59 pm, Neptune turned YESTERDAY at 1:07 pm…..so as you can imagine change is about….. as soon as I finish my LateNite Radio show tonight/tomorrow morning at 6:00 am, (and after Mars transits into my Sagittarius house of TRAVEL at 4:12 am~!!!) I am tossing the last of my Travel things into my car and I’m OFF for the Winter! Off to go participate in some much needed Coddling and Healing. (…strange health things continue to plague me even almost a year after having a reaction to western medicine….
